Should Upper Control Arm Stop be Cut After Lift Kit is Installed on Truck
Question:
Hello,I just had a lift installed that was supposed to be for my 08 gmc sierra and the control arms are maxed on the stops,what are the ramifications of cutting them out?

If you cut the control arms stops off of your vehicle all of the steering and suspension components will wear out quicker and the vehicle might handle unpredictabley as you'll over extend not only your shocks but ball joints, tie rods, and cv axles. Best option is to replace the upper control arms with ones designed for lift kits.
