Will JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit Support 6,500 lb Rated Landing Gear

Question:

What is the sheer strength of the swing bolts that connects the diagonal yoke to the lower end of landing gear? Can the swing bolt be used at the same connection to the lower end of landing gear in place of the pin that attaches a standard rectangular footplate, in order to decrease the exposed length of the landing gear when retracted? Will the swing bolts support the 6500 lb. rating of my landing gear?

The JT's Strong Arm Jack Stabilizer Kit for 5th Wheel RVs w/ 58" or More Between Landing Gear # LC191023 will work with your 6,500 lb rated landing gear. This kit does not support any weight so it does not have a specific capacity it is rated for; the kit attaches between your landing gear and fifth wheel frame, stabilizing it but not supporting it.

As for your other question it sounds like you are asking if the swing bolts can take the place of the pin on your landing gear pad and the simple answer to that is no, you should not use the swing bolts in place of that pin to decrease the exposed length of the landing gear.
