Will the Bolt-On shock Kit # LC281281 Fit with Correct Track and Center Point Installed on Trailer

Question:

I will be installing the Lippert Components Center Point by Trailair Air-Ride Suspension Upgrade - Tandem Axle LC1565391. This lifts the trailer 2. Will the 2 inch lift potentially make installing the Lippert shocks LC281281 not possible for a total of 4". Reference step 8 below of the shock kit aftermarket manual. Notice that on the manual, Fig. 6 and 8 picture attached have the upper shock mount bracket as far down on the I beam possible. If the trailer is raised 2 inch from the Correct Track, It seems you may not be able to obtain the correct measurement from step 8 of the shock kit manual. Thanks 8. Make a measurement perpendicular to the shock mounting lip on the tie plate that is the same distance measured in Step 6 Fig.4A + 2” and make a mark on the I-beam parallel to the shock mounting lip on the tie plate Fig. 5A.

The 2" lift of the Center Point and 2" Correct Track could very well cause the Bolt-On Shock Kit part # LC281281 to not fit but you just need to take a simple measurement to find out. When I spoke with my contact at Lippert they actually said that you won't have a 4" lift. The way the Center Point and the Correct Track install actually gives you only 2" of lift.

What you need to do is measure the distance in step 8 like you noted. When we measured the shocks we found that the Fig.4A measurement was about 11-3/8". As long as you have this same measurement with the Correct Track installed then you can use both at the same time. Otherwise you will need to adjust the Correct Track or get new hangers.

The Center Point # LC1565391 is a great system that will increase the ride quality of your trailer significantly but if you are wanting to use both this then you may have too much space for the shock kit. It is just a matter taking the measurement in step 8 and then adding 4" (your 2" plus the 2" in the diagram) to see if the bracket will even make it to the frame on your trailer.
