Recommended Flat Towing Equipment for 2019 Jeep Cherokee Limited

Starting with base plates, I suggest the Roadmaster EZ4 base plate # RM-521452-4, so long as your Limited does not have the Active Aid Shutters. These feature twist-lock draw bars which means there are no pins to get lost.

With the EZ4 kit you can use the Nighthawk tow bar # RM-676 which features telescoping arms that will not bind up. It also includes the needed safety cables and it has built-in LED lighting for better visibility on the road. You will use the Quick Disconnect crossbar # 910021-00 to join the tow bar and base plates.

For wiring to connect the Jeep and motorhome lights I suggest the Roadmaster diode kit # RM-15267. This kit splices into the vehicle wiring and then gives you easy plug-in connection each time you tow. An installation video is included for you.

For a braking system I suggest the portable Even Brake # RM-9400 which offers proportional braking of the Jeep. The Even Brake will slow the Cherokee at the same rate that the motorhome slows down. It does not require an invasive installation and since it is portable it can stay with you well into the future, even into your next towed vehicle. You also need a stop light switch kit # RM-751471.
