How do I wire my extra tail for my cargo carrier for just brake and running light without using L andR signals. Thank you

To get a dedicated brake signal circuit you need to use a signal converter since trailer wiring has this circuit combined with the turn signals. For that you'd want the # 118158 and you'll be able to have a dedicated stoplight circuit.
