Installing Curt Wiring Harness on 2003 Ford Escape with Factory Tow Package
Question:
Where is the connection point located if the vehicle has the factory tow package?

If your 2003 Ford Escape is equipped with the factory tow package, the built-in plug that is used to connect the Curt T-Connector Harness # C55255 that you were looking at will be located behind the driver's-side interior trim panel in the rear cargo area. The rear scuff panel will need to be removed to expose the connector. Once this connection is made you will have a fully-functional 4-Way connector to connect with and power a trailer's basic signal lights.
I have attached the written installation instructions that you can also check out.
If you find that you do not have the factory tow package then I instead recommend the Tekonsha T-One Harness # 118343. This is also a custom, plug-in harness that will connect to factory ports behind the driver and passenger side tail lights. I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.
