Best 5th Wheel Hitch for Towing with a 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500 Long Bed and OEM Prep Package

Just bought a 2019 Silverado 2500 with a long bed and the factory prep package. I'm looking for a 5th wheel hitch and would like a recommendation.

I recommend going with the B&W Companion since you have a long bed on your 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500 and you have the OEM prep package. This comes in both a 20K # BWRVK3700 and a 25K # BWRVK3705 version. We recommend having about a 2,000 lb cushion between the max weight rating of your 5th wheel hitch and the trailer you are towing.

The Companion features 1" thick dual jaws for a secure connection, 3 different height settings, and a fully articulating hitch head which makes it easy to hook up your trailer. The head unit can also easily be removed to make installing and removing your hitch much easier. The head itself weighs about 70 lbs which is nearly half the weight of the whole hitch.

Some prep packages come with a 7-Way already installed in the bed so if yours doesn't I also recommend installing the Curt # C56000 so that you can easily connect and disconnect the 7-Way on your 5th wheel trailer.
