Comparing Demco Hijacker and PullRite SuperGlide Auto Sliding 5th Wheel Hitches for a 2018 Ram 2500
Question:
I have a 2018 Ram 2500 with the pucks. Looking at an automatic sliding hitch and I am considering the Superglide 18K but then I saw that you have the Hijacker. What is the difference?

Even though the PullRite SuperGlide is a great product, the Demco Hijacker actually has more to offer at a lower price-point which makes it the better choice.
The Hijacker utilizes a single-jaw and 3/4" steel locking bar for the most secure connection and can be adjusted between 15-1/4", 16-1/2", and 18" while the SuperGlide only uses the single-jaw and has one height setting of 18-1/2". Since each towing setup is different the Hijacker gives you more options to tow level without having to adjust the height of your trailer. The head design of the Hijacker also reduces your chances of needing an additional accessory (capture plate) to operate properly.
There is an 18K version # DM8550034 and a 21K version # DM8550035 of the Hijacker which can both be secured to the OEM pucks in your 2018 Ram 2500 by using the adapter kit # DM6099. When I looked up the SuperGlide it comes in 16K and 20K capacities.
Both the Hijacker and the SuperGlide offer 14" or travel, have 2-point pivoting heads, can fit your OEM pucks with an adapter, and come with a 5-year limited warranty but the Hijacker is definitely the winner in comparison due to the extra features.
