Platform-Style Bike Rack Rated for Use Behind Towable Camper

Question:

Is this bike rack rated for tow behind campers? I was looking at the Hollywood sports rider 2 but its not recommended for tow behind campers.

I do have an option for you, however the Hollywood Racks TRS 2-Bike Platform Rack # HR3000 that you referenced is also not rated for use behind a towable camper. The added movement and bounce that a bike rack has to withstand when mounted behind a trailer (as opposed to a standard passenger vehicle) is enough so that only certain bike racks are tested and approved for this application.

For a platform-style bike rack that is approved for use behind your camper, I recommend the Swagman Dispatch # S44FR. This heavy-duty carrier can handle 2 bikes of up to 45 pounds each and features ratacheting, padded hooks that will grip the bikes by their top tubes. Its sliding wheel cradles allow for a variety of bike sizes and its solid steel construction will hold up extremely well. This particular rack also includes a bike and hitch lock to secure everything into place and help deter theft.
