Using a 5th Wheel Hitch for Industry Standard Rails in a 2019 Ford F-250 with Factory Prep Package

just got my 2019 F-250 short bed and this thing hauls! i need to put my old 5er hitch in it. my old truck had the rails in the bed but the new one has the kit from the factory. how do i use my hitch?

It's actually a pretty simple solution. Part # RP30156 is an adapter that fits into your 2019 Ford F-250's factory puck system and lets you use a hitch that fits industry standard rails. If you're going to use your existing hitch this is all you need.

With that being said your new truck is a short bed. If your hitch is a fixed hitch you may be better off replacing it with a slider that fits into the factory kit. A sliding fifth wheel hitch helps with turning clearance so your trailer doesn't hit your truck's cab.
