No Lights on Remote for a Fan-Tastic Vent Model 6600R

Question:

We have a Model 6600R with remote in our RV that is now 4 years old and the remote is currently not working on any functions at all. Not even to open the lid. The remote we currently have looks identical to the 9068-09 Black Wireless IR Remote. We replaced the batteries and still nothing.....None of the LED lights are even lighting up on the remote itself. Yet when i manually open the vent up with the manual knob the fan cuts in and runs but i am still unable to control the speeds or direction or close the lid back up with the remote. Please advise if the problem is with the remote or something else as I gather the FUSE would be OK otherwise the fan would not be operating when I manually open lid?? What else can i do to troubleshoot the problem or to correct the problem as this unit is in our kitchen area in our 5th Wheel and we need the remote to be working as it is way to high for me to reach without using a ladder. Lol Please advise at your earliest convenience. Thank you in advance.

The problem you described sounds like an issue on the remote's circuit board. If the fuse was blown then the fan would not work at all as you mentioned. Unfortunately, the replacement remote for the Fan-Tastic Vent Model 6600R is no longer available as the vent has since become obsolete. Therefore, the only option you have unless you are able to find someone who is experienced enough with circuit boards to repair the remote would be to replace the unit for which we have the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent part # FV807350.

I spoke to my contact at Fan-Tastic Vent and they informed me that the Replacement Digital Remote Control part # FV9068-09 will not work.
