Tips for Seperating Connectors of Hopkins 7-Way Wiring Harness # HM43385
Question:
about to order part HM43385. ive played with existing wires, but cant get them to unhook. i have a history of breaking things i cant unhook. is there a trick, catch, etc? thanks

The latches of the # HM43385 are reverse cam latches. Basically you will have to press down on the latch on the male side of the connector while pulling out at the same time. Sometimes connectors can be difficult to separate. I have found that if you press down on the release and then use a wide flat screwdriver between the two connectors to pry them apart that usually does the trick. A twisting motion with the screwdriver should do the trick.
