Trailer Brakes Not Activating on 2019 Mini Winnie with P2 # 90885 Installed on a 2005 Land Cruiser
Question:
To set up a Prodigy ps2 brake controller the instructions say to set to 6 then drive. If the brakes lock up reduce the setting to a lesser number and try again until there is no lockup. The problem here is that the brakes come on but never do lockup even when set to max setting boost or no boost, same with manual over ride fully applied. The RV is a 3 week old 19’ Mini Winnie by Winnebago. The Tow car is a ‘05 Toyota Land Cruiser. We towed the trailer with a different vehicle with the same controller and the results were identical. Help?

If you aren't experiencing any braking action on either trailer then that means the signal from the Prodigy P2 # 90885 is lost somewhere either on your 2005 Toyota Land Cruiser or your 2019 Mini Winnie.
Since the Winnebago is brand new I suspect that the problem is on the tow vehicle side. Start off by testing the pin in the 5 o'clock position of your 7-Way connector with a circuit tester like part # PTW2992. If you don't have a 7-Way or you don't see that a signal is sending then that is your problem.
If you don't have a 7-Way then you will need to install the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 which comes with everything you need for a fully functioning 7-Way. If you do have a 7-Way then you need to check any fuses related to the trailer brakes and if the fuses look good go over the wiring for any damages or pinched places and replace as necessary.
