All of our Slide-Out Toppers like # LCV000168105 you referenced are made for rain, sleet, and snow. The toppers are made to keep debris and water away from the top of your slide to prevent issues with the slide out. The topper width will be a minimum of 5 inches past the slide (2.5 inches on each side) to help further prevent the water and debris from sitting on top of the slide. The awning fabric is anti-scuff and anti-mildew and is cold-crack protected to -25 degrees Fahrenheit.

The awnings will attach to rail extrusion which is included. I've attached an awing installation video that will be the same installation as the topper for this rail extrusion.

On a 7.5’ slide topper(or any width), is the fabric 7.5’, or is that the overall width? I have some possible clearance issues between 2 slides and an awning.

Yes. A 7.5 foot slide topper like # LCV000163287 is 90 inches wide so the fabric is 5 inches thinner at 85 inches than the width listed on the product. You will need 6 inches of clearance beyond the edges of the box for the hardware fit. If you have the 6 inches from the outside flange before another awning then you will be all set.

I reached out to the tech contact at Solera and actual dimensions from outside hardware to outside hardware at farthest point is 90 inches.
