No Lights or Brakes on Trailer
Question:
The trailer brakes and lights on my trailer have stopped working. It appears that there is still power to the brake controller as the face of the controller is functioning. I have looked through the truck fuses and everything looks good. What are other problems that would cause this issue?

If neither the lights or brakes are working on your trailer then chances are you have an issue with your trailer connector(s). I would first check the ground for both the vehicle and trailer side. If the ground is secured to a clean bare metal surface then you will need to begin testing the pins with a circuit tester. If the pins do not show any power while the circuit is active then you will need to begin tracing the wire(s) back to check for breaks and replace/repair as needed.
Also, if you have access to a different tow vehicle that would then allow you to determine if the problem is on the vehicle and or trailer. Please let me know what you come back with and I would be happy to offer further assistance if the problem has not yet been resolved.
If either of the trailer connectors are bad then you can use part # PK12706 for the trailer end and part # PK11893 for the vehicle end.
