Can Weight Distribution be Used on Vehicle with Air Suspension
Question:
I have a 2017 crewcab trd tundra and a 2017 grand design imagine. Truck has air ride. The trailer when loaded for travel weighs 8120 lbs.. my axle weights are 2840 front when loaded which is down 560 from light wgt / 4600 on rear axle which is up 1940 lbs from light wgt. and trailer axle is 6700 lbs. these weights are with only the air ride. I do have a weight dist. set up , not sure of the type but it has chains that go over rod and then you flip up to lock with one anti sway bar on passenger side. I used weight distribution set when first brought trailer home and did not level truck, added air ride after that. Question is if I install weight dist. system first and then use air ride to just level out is this going to distribute my weight better? That 1940 lbs on rear axle concerns me Thank you for whatever help you can give me in this matter.

When using a weight distribution system on a vehicle with air ride or air suspension you want to inflate the air system first and then adjust/set up the weight distribution system. The other thing you need to do is make sure that your weight distribution system is rated for the tongue weight of your trailer. If the system is rated too low it won't be effective and if it's too high the ride quality will be very rough.
I attached a help article on weight distribution and tongue weight for you to check out as well.
