Locating Hitch-Mounted Motorcycle Carrier for Jeep with Rear Spare Tire
Question:
Will your carriers work on a Jeep? I’m asking because I’m looking for one that will work with the spare tire mounted on the hatch.

When determining if a hitch-mounted carrier will work on a vehicle that is equipped with a rear spare tire like your Jeep, you will fist want to take a quick measurement on the Jeep. Measure out from the center of the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch to the outermost edge of the spare tire. The hitch-mounted carrier you choose will need to have a distance greater than the one you measured from its hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack to prevent any interference between it and the spare tire.
The Ultra-Fab Carrier # UF48-979033 that you were looking at has a distance of 15-1/2 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest edge of the carrier. If the measurement you took on your Jeep is less than 15-1/2 inches then this carrier will work well without having to worry about it hitting the tire.
