Will Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL10970 Work to Hoist Fishing Kayak
Question:
Would the the DL10970 be able to hold a 200# load fully loaded fishing kayak at the ceiling after being raised without letting it drop? Thanks.

The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL10970 that you referenced is a great solution for helping to unload your 200 pound fishing kayak and suspend it in the air. The winch features a 2,000 pound weight capacity and can be used with winch cable like # DL24104. Worm gear winches like this one work really well for hoisting objects since they don't have a free wheel option and the load can't reverse the direction of the winch.
I have attached a short video demonstration on this winch that you can also check out.
