Best 4-Flat Connector for 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon
Question:
Hi. Your expert recommended the Tekonsha 118467 for hitch wiring on a Subaru Outback. The expert did not say why he recommended the Tekonsha wiring over other wiring options, such as Curt 56040, which is less expensive. Cost is not the only consideration, but is a factor. Thanks.

Hi. When it comes to wiring for your 2018 Subaru Outback and other cars, the reason we often go with the Tekonsha wiring harnesses such as # 118467 over the options from Curt like the # C56040 is these are the harnesses that have a long track record of sustained quality. It's not that the Curt harnesses are bad or in any way troublesome, it is more a statement about the reliability of the Tekonsha brand.
So if you are installing hitch # 76227 you can use either harness but I do recommend sticking with the Tekonsha # 118467.
