Question:

Greetings, My trailer is a Haulmark, 6X12, single axle model MT 612 LH GVWR 3500, coupler size 2. The axle is a Dexter P-11 Model SLR. I was looking at the, Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased, Item # AKIHUB-545-35-K. will this fit my trailer?

It's very likely that the etrailer.com Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-545-35-K that you referenced will fit your Dexter 3,500 pound axle, but I do recommend verifying this by pulling an existing hub from your trailer to check for its bearing numbers. The numbers should be stamped right inside the bearings themselves. This hub assembly uses the # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearing, which is extremely common for a 3,500 pound axle. You will also want to make sure that the 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern matches your existing wheels.

If you can't read the numbers on the bearings, you can also take a few measurements along the spindle where the bearings sit with a digital caliper. I have attached an image that clarifies where the measurements will be taken.

Unfortunately the P-11 number you found on the Dexter axle doesn't indicate its specific model, so I wasn't able to confirm the correct hubs using this information.
