The Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # RP30047 will fit your 2012 Ram 2500 6-1/2' bed with the # RP56011-53 but you will need a sliding 5th wheel hitch in order to obtain clearance between the loft of your trailer and cab of your truck if you do not have a rotating pin box. Also, the install kit is universal which means there will be excessive drilling required and would not be best for you as we have custom install kits for your truck that won't require any drilling into the frame rails.

Therefore, I recommend using the Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Square Tube Slider part # RP30051 with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation Kit part # RP56011-53 so long as you do not have the RamBox.
