No Running Lights on Toad Vehicle but All Other Lights Work
Question:
I have no tail lights on the towed vehicle when connected to our motorhome, all other lights and signals are working. Our Jeep Wrangler was just wired to tow. It seems there is no power to the plug on the coach for the running lights. Ive checked the fuses and the wiring to the plug in. Does the Jeep need to be connected with the tow bar to complete the circuit? The 7 blade plug on the coach is a Husky Products brand, could it be bad? If so can you recommend a replacement? Any suggestions will be helpful. Thank you,

The tow bar does not need to be attached to the motorhome/toad in order for the lights to work, just the wiring harness. In order to see if the trailer connector is bad on the motorhome you will need a circuit tester. Once you obtain the circuit tester you will then want to test the running light pin on the motorhome's 7-way. If no power is present when the circuit is active then you will want to test the wire just before the trailer connector and see if it has power. If you have power here then you know the trailer connector is bad and it can be replaced with part # HM48470. If you do not have power here then you will need to trace the running light circuit wire back as far as possible while checking for breaks or shorts. I would also be sure you are checking the correct fuse(s).
I have attached a photo of the 7-way trailer connector wiring for you as well.
