The Atwood RV Water Heater # AT96117 that you referenced is going to fit and work well to replace your current Atwood 6 gallong water heater. This unit has dimensions of 12-1/2" tall x 16" wide x 18" deep which matches what you mentioned too.

We don't currently offer the styrofoam shrouds for the Atwood water heaters. Looking around I don't think they are currently being made right now. If you have one from your old setup it should work fine with this one though.
