Where Does Wiring Have to Go When Installin Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock 2017 Honda Ridgeline

Can the trunk harness be used instead of running the cable all the way to the front of the truck?

According to Pop and Lock the wiring of the Pop and Lock tailgate lock # PAL8600 that you referenced has to be ran to the front of the vehicle into the driver side cab to install. I wish there was a way we could recommend that would allow it to install easier but we have to recommend you stick with the instructions. I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out which will walk you through the process.
