What is Considered a Pop-In Gooseneck Hitch Ball

Question:

Note: Using the Convert-A-Ball gooseneck coupler with pop-in gooseneck balls with levers is not recommended What do you consider a pop in ball?

Expert Reply:

A pop-in gooseneck hitch ball is something like the Pop-In Ball for Reese Elite Series Underbed Gooseneck Hitch # RP19315 which you turn and lock into place in your hitch.

This is opposed to a ball such as the Remov-a-Ball Gooseneck Hitch Ball # 5973 which is held in place in the hitch with a pin.

Gooseneck hitches with a pop-in ball should not be used with the Convert-A-Ball Multi-Cushioned Gooseneck Trailer Coupler # CG.
