Bolt-On Swivel Jack For Improved Ground Clearance
Question:
Hi I have an aluminum framed trailer and was wondering what material the plate is that you recommend welding to the frame. I didnt think steel can weld to aluminum, so what would be the options... Its the trailer jack that keeps scraping the ground, maybe there is a better option?

You are correct that welding steel to aluminum is a tricky process best left to experienced welders, but if your issue is that you jack sometimes scrapes on the ground you can avoid the need to weld by simply bolting on a swivel jack.
Pull Pin Swivel Jack # TJBB-2001-B has a 2000-lb rating, includes a foot plate and bolts on to the side of trailer frames up to 3-inches wide and from 2 to 4 inches tall. Just pull the pin to swivel the jack up and out of your way for travel. This jack extends to 21-1/2-inches height.
