Question:

Can I replace the current tires sized @ 225/50R17 to a winter tire size of 235/65R17. Thanks

I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2018 Honda Accord. Under the "Winter Tires" section it states that if you change to winter tires you should select a size and load range that is the same as the original tires that came on the vehicle. Because of this I cannot recommend upgrading to a larger size when switching to winter tires.

Another option is to use tire chains for better traction in the ice and snow. The owner's manual says that chains can be installed on the front tires and cable-style chains are recommended because of the limited wheel well clearance on the vehicle.

For your 225/50R17 tires I recommend the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains # PW1034. These cables are constructed of case hardened, low-carbon steel and are Class S compatible, which means they are designed specifically for vehicles like yours that have limited clearance. I recommend adding the Glacier Rubber Adjusters # PW105 for an even tighter fit. I have attached a short video demonstration on these cable chains that you can also check out.
