Can Different Load Range Tires Be Used on a Boat Trailer

Question:

I have an aluminum single axle boat trailer with two Loadstar Karrier ST205/75/R15, Load Range D. I purchased what i thought was the same tire as a spare, but turns out it is load range C. And now I am having a hard time finding the same tire size in a load range D to match what is currently on the trailer. My question is, can i use the Load Range C as a spare and potentially in conjunction with a D in the event of a flat? Capacity is not an issue as even at the C range, I would still be under my total gross weight for the boat. Thanks,

The issue you are going to run into using both a load range C and D tire together is psi. The 205/75-15 tires we offer have a 50 psi rating for load range c and a 65 psi rating for load range D. This is not going to have a drastic effect on the trailer but it may be a bit off-center which could cause some sway or tracking issues. If you just needed to limp the trailer home I would not have any issues using the load range c spare but if you would like an actual spare tire that can be used without issue or worry we have the Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # AM10245 which has a load range D rating.

I have attached a review video for you as well.
