Trailer Tail Light Options for a Tear Drop Trailer
Question:
I am thinking about using these on a tear trailer. What type of mounting hardward does it come with? How do they mount? Do you need a special bracket? Do they attach on the back or bottom? For the license plate version is the light on the bottom or top? Thanks.

The Aero Pro Submersible LED Trailer Tail Light, # STL36RB, is a surface mount light. To mount this light you would need to have 2 or 3 bolts sticking out from the surface of the trailer because this light has slots on the back that fit over the bolt head and hold it in place. Is does not come with mounting hardware and a special bracket is not needed.
The license plate light is made to shine down through the bottom.
I would go with a flush mount light like # STL34RB. These lights will sit recessed in the trailer and are held in place with the rubber grommet. You would need to cut out a hole in the trailer for these lights to fit.
If you would rather not cut holes, you can use something like the Oval LED Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light, # STL78RB. This is a surface mount light but you will use screws (not included) to secure the light to the trailer surface.
There may be an exact replacement for the lights on your trailer. You will have to check the light assembly to find a manufacturer and part number.
