Timbren Rear Axle Jounce Spring Kit for 2002 Ford F-350 4WD Towing 34-Foot Travel Trailer
Question:
What model do you recommend for this 4WD truck. I use it mainly to pull my 34foot v lite flagstaff travel trailer weighing at max around 8400. Im interested on these sumo springs. Ive had the 2front leveling kit from Pro Comp which they added a 3/4 inch block on the rear I believe. Id appreciate for your reply. Thanks

The SumoSprings Rear Axle Jounce Spring kit # SSR-114-54, which fits the 2WD version of the 2002 Ford F-350, has a 2800-lb weight capacity which would be suitable for your travel trailer application but since you have lift on the truck I suggest the Timbren kit # TFR350SDE if you have 2WD or kit # TFRTT350E if you have 4WD.
For these kits we have spacers available for lifted trucks that will ensure you can position these springs at the correct distance above the axle. When the truck is empty and not hitched to the trailer you want to have about 3/4-inch to 1-inch of space between the bottom of the spring and the top of the axle. This gap ensures the empty truck's ride won't be changed but that the springs will engage the axle properly when it is under load. These replace the factory bump stops and they install without drilling.
You can use two of their 1-inch spacer # A25723-90AH00 or two of their 1/2-inch spacer # TA25722-90P00 as needed to get your spring-to-axle spacing correct. You may need to locally source longer bolts for installation.
