Are the Short-Roof Adapters Needed for a 2005 Subaru Legacy

Question:

Do I need a short roof adapter for my 2005 Subaru legacy sedan? Also I see a lot of question about how to fit it perfectly onto my car. Any advice?

The Short-Roof Adapter part # SR1116 is not needed when using the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack part # SR1008 on your 2005 Subaru Legacy. The adapters are only really needed for small 2 and 3-door cars or ones with a very curved roof line.

The SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack as the name states is a semi custom fit which means it may not form to the exact contour of the roof but it will do a good job. The only advice I have for you is to be weary of tightening the feet too much as this could damage both the rack and vehicle. The feet need to be snug so they do not move but not much more than that.
