Can Trailer Hitch from 2010 Ford Edge be Installed on 2016 Ford Edge
Question:
Can I transfer my 2010 Ford Edge hitch to my 2016 Ford edge

It looks like the Ford Edge went through a generation change for the 2015 model year. The changes on the rear of the vehicle were enough to require an entirely new trailer hitch design starting with this model year and continuing with your 2016 Ford Edge. This means that a trailer hitch from a 2010 Ford Edge will not be compatible with your 2016 model.
For your new 2016 Edge I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75234. This Class III hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and will use existing holes in its frame for a no-drill installation. I have attached an installation video that you can use for reference.
