Replacing Spring Bars of Fastway E2 Weight Distribution System to Lower Tongue Weight Range

Question:

I purchased a used E2 system, but it is rated higher than what I need. Can you reduce the GTW by exchanging the tension bars that are rated for the actual application? I now know about more rigid ride and bouncy trailer issue. I actually need the 450/4500 application, no chain. 2012 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 TRD, towing a vintage 68 15ft trailer weight approx 2100 dry.

It is possible to swap your current e2 weight distribution spring bars to better match the tongue weight of your trailer. We have options that will lower the tongue weight range down to 250-600 lbs.

For a trunnion bar setup you'd need the replacement bar setup part # FA92-01-0699 which comes with two bars. Or for a round bar setup you'd need the part # FA94-02-0699 which is sold individually.
