Will Installing an Aftermarket Trailer Hitch Void the Warranty on a 2018 Ford F-150

Consumers of aftermarket products are protected by the Federal Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act. The Act states in part that if something breaks on your vehicle and you take it in for warranty repair, the dealer must honor your warranty unless whatever modifications you have added to your vehicle actually caused the problem in question.
So for example if you installed Curt hitch # C14016 on your 2018 Ford F-150 and the mass airflow sensor stopped working shortly there after there is no way they could claim the installation of the hitch caused that problem.
