We have diode tow bar wiring kits that you can wire to your vehicle being flat towed that will allow the turn signals and the stoplights to activate at the same time as your tow vehicle. For your 2012 Kia Soul the kit you'd need is the part # 154-792-118158. This comes with everything needed to install the wiring and convert the normally combined trailer wiring circuits of your tow vehicle to operate the seperate circuits of your Kia Soul.
I attached a diagram that shows how it installs as well as a link to install instructions.
An easier kit to instal would be the part # TR118821 but it would activate your Soul taillights like combined circuits where the blinkers and stoplights would be on the same bulb.
Let's say your tow vehicle has a 7-way already connected to your tow dolly. To add a 4-way to activate this wiring you'd then need the # C55384 and you'd be set.
