Higher Speed Rated Trailer Wheel and Tire Recommendation for Size 4.80-12
Question:
I’m looking to purchase a Harbor Freight 4x8 trailer and convert it into a kayak trailer for my family. They come with 4 lug 4.8x12 tires. The manual says 45mph. We’d use this on roadtrips, which would include highway use. Do you have any wheel tire combos that are 4 lug, 4.8x12 and can hit speed limits of 70-80mph? Thanks for any and all insight you can provide.

We have the Taskmaster Wheel and Tire Combo part # TA89RR which would work well for you. It is a 4.80-12 trailer tire mounted on a wheel with a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern that has a speed rating of 81 mph.
