Comparing Load Sensing Shocks and Timbren Suspension Enhancement for a 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab
Question:
In towing my boat, 300lb TW, 4500 lbs. total, with my 2004 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab, which would be more advantageous to have installed, the Timbren Suspension Enhancement System or load sensing shocks?

I think something like load sensing shocks would be better in situations where you frequently tow or carry various size and types of loads. But if you primarily will be towing the boat and do not often carry varying sized loads in the bed, the Timbren system, # TDDR00, would be the better choice.
The Timbren system is probably going to be the more cost effect choice and there is not a lot that can go wrong with the system since there are basically no moving parts, electronics, or pneumatic elements to the system.
I have included a link to the installation details for this system and a link to an FAQ article on the Timbren systems.
