Installing Hopkins 4-Way to 7-Way Trailer Adapter for Just 4-Way Functions
Question:
I have a 2018 Jeep Wrangler unlimited with a factory 4 wire plug. Do I need to ground the white wire to the frame of my Jeep to get the HM47180 connector to work properly. Thanks

When using a trailer connecter like the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 4-Way Flat to 7-Way RV Trailer Adapter w/ 4-Way Vehicle End Plug # HM47180 you will need to ground the white wire to your vehicle to make sure the trailer connector works correctly. You want to attach that ring terminal to a bare metal connection on your frame. This will allow your 4-way functions to transfer to the 7-way blades correctly.
