Will the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Reduce Ground Clearance on a 2018 Jeep Renegade
Question:
I would like to purchase a hitch receiver for my 2018 Jeep Renegade Trailhalk to pull a small pop up tent. I seen there are a few options that I can install below the exhaust, but will this alter my clearance? I live in the mountains and I foresee taking some back trails. I would like to avoid shortening the depth, but, I also want to pull a 1,500 pound pop-up. Thank you in advance, I did watch one of your videos on youtube and that is how I found you guys.

The best trailer hitch receiver for your 2018 Jeep Renegade Trailhawk is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76021. The distance from the ground to the bottom of the receiver tube will be around 9-3/4" and will be the most we offer for a trailer hitch in regards to ground clearance. Unfortunately, this hitch will reduce your ground clearance in the rear but it should not be too much of an issue for the exception of steep terrain. There is not a trailer hitch for your Renegade that does not reduce ground clearance to my knowledge. This hitch will do an excellent job with your pop-up camper.
I have attached an install video for you as well.
