Slider Hitch Recommendation for 2017 Ram 2500 Short Bed with Rail Kit

Question:

I have a ram 2500 short bed. I am currently looking at a 2016 keystone 308bhds gross weight 11,700 and hitch weight 1845. Do you see any issues with my truck towing , eventually would like to hit the mountains? If no issues what 5th wheel hitches would you recommend?

You'll want to verify the capacity of your truck with a Ram dealer but when I searched your truck's capacity it came back as 10,760 lbs which is a 1,000 less than you'd need and not safe for the trailer you are considering.

Best option would be to find a lighter trailer and then use the B and W Companion slider hitch part # BWRVK3670 which is a fit for the factory rail kit of your truck and is the best hitch option available.
