Brake Controller Recommendation for 2015 Dodge Durango that Doesnt Interfere with Knee Air Bag
Question:
I saw the video for the 2014 Durango and was wondering if the panel under the steering wheel is an airbag. My owners manual called it a knee airbag. Just wondering if the same thing was on the 2014 and if it causes a problem with the wiring. The video was very good and looks easy enough to do, but just wondering about the airbag. Was looking at the Morpar controller but this one looks like a better built one. Thanks for your help.

For your 2015 Dodge Durango the Prodigy P3 part # 90195 is a fantastic brake controller, but for applications like yours where the area you'd normally install a brake controller has an air bag we have a better option that allows you to install the controller without needing to install anything in the air bag area. For that you'd want the Redarc Tow Pro Elite part # RED44FR with the install harness part # 3045-S and you'd be set.
With this controller all you have to have installed near where you sit is a small knob that you can install in a wide variety of places while the brain of the controller installs elsewhere out of sight.
