Troubleshooting Tekonsha Voyager that Won't Level Show Level on LED

Question:

The controller is level side by side. I get braking action but it is jerking back an fourth when I tap or apply the brake. I am afraid if I apply the brakes firmly it is going to lockup the trailer when on the freeway. I believe the power side is working but I just can't get the controller to level per the directions which makes me believe that something is wrong with the controller and maybe unsafe.

How is the braking action? Does it seem to work okay? Is the controller level side to side when you use the level adjustment? Typically that's the only reason the manual level knob of the # 39510 won't show that it's level.

It does seem like an internal issue with the level. It's best to replace it since it's not safe. For a brake controller replacement I would recommend the Prodigy P3 Brake Controller part # 90195. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle is applying and applies a proportionate amount to the trailer brakes. This will be the last brake controller you buy. It can easily be transferred to future vehicles as well.
