Tight Turning Ability with Weight Distribution System Installed
Question:
With a typical value priced weight distributing hitch with spring bars installed can I make tight turns, such as a u turn on the road or parking lot maneuvers requiring tight turning going forward. How about backing up, tight turns ?

When using a weight distribution system you will have nearly the same turning ability as you would without a weight distribution system in most cases. The difference is only slight when using a system like the Equal-i-zer # EQ37120ET where other systems may have further restrictions. This system will have just a slightly wider base but you can still make U-turns as needed.
Some systems do not allow backing, but those systems are only the ones with the friction bar and it is due to the adjustability of that bar as well as the location. The Equal-i-zer # EQ37120ET will be able to back up without issue. I've attached an article to further assist with common questions.
You will want to use a thin walled socket like # ALL643216 to install the included hitch ball on this system.
