Can Bias Tires be Replaced with Radial Tires on a Tow Dolly
Question:
We currently have 205 70D 14 tires-they need replacing. Can we replace with the 205 70 R-14?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you certainly can. In fact I recommend it.
Radial tires are better for highway travel because they have better ground contact and generate less heat than bias tires. So they tend to wear better and last longer.
We don't carry any 205/70-14 sized trailer tires like your bias tires are but we have some 205/75-14 radials. I've linked the complete selection for you. I recomment the Westlake, part # 274-000012, because they're the highest load range we have in that size, load range D, and come with 2 years of roadside assistance.
