Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation to Be Used with Lippert Turning Point Pin Box

Question:

I just purchased a 2019 Grand Design Reflection 150 series specifically designed for short bed trucks. Ill be pulling it with a 2015 GMC 2500HD 6.5 bed. Im looking at doing the BandW turnover gooseneck with the Companion fixed hitch. Im being told with that configuration it might put too much torque on the single point attachment in the bed and on the BandW wedge on the pin box. Can you confirm this is correct. I would really like to avoid using a slider hitch if at all possible. thanks,

Pin boxes that pivot like the Trailair Turning Point or the Reese Sidewinder should not be used with the B and W Companion hitches that install to a gooseneck hitch. You will need a hitch setup that attaches at four corners of the hitch and not just a center post. We can help with that.

For a hitch the Reese # RP30047 would work well and then to install it you'd need a custom install rail kit like the Reese # RP50066-58 which will minimize drilling and install time when compared to a universal kit. This will work well with the Turning Point and will allow you to not have to use a slider hitch.
