Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack Recommendation for 2015 Volkswagen Golf

Hello, for my 2015 VW Golf 5-door hatch I was considering: 1 Rhino Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack with 2500 series legs 2 Rhino-Rack RS 2500 Roof Rack So it appears the RS 2500 has a custom length crossbar for the Golf. Question: If I want to use the rack on a different car, will this only be possible for #1 with a new fit kit? And #2 can not be used on another car since the crossbar will not be the right length? Next Question: Will most cargo boxes from major manufacturers Thule, Yakima fit on the Rhino Rack Aero bars? Thanks,

If you are wanting to hopefully use parts of the roof rack you'd install on your 2015 Volkswagen Golf on a future vehicle the best option is the Rhino Rack that uses the Vortex bars part # RRVA126B-2, feet # RRRLKVA, and fit kit part # DK390.

This style of roof rack fits many vehicles and there's a very good chance that by swapping fit kits you could use this on a different vehicle as well. There isn't a way to adapt the RS 2500 style rack to future vehicles as they do not offer fit kits for that style of rack.

All of the popular roof cargo boxes will fit this rack too. Thule, Yakima, etc.
