Options for Carrying Bike Rack and Cargo Carrier at Same Time

Question:

Hello etrailer! We purchased a Curt trailer hitch from you for our Lexus RX 350 and also a Curt 2 bike rack. All is well with that. But now we wonder if we can add a cargo carrier somehow? Is that possible? I see the Hollywood one you sell, but we dont want to start over as we already have the Curt bike rack. And we also need it by this Friday...gulp.

Basically there are two option, but we really don't have a great solution to allow you to carry a cargo carrier plus the Curt bike rack you have. You could look into a roof cargo basket like the Thule part # TH859XT but this requires your vehicle to have a roof rack with crossbars installed.

Or you could go the Hollywood Racks bike rack and cargo carrier route with part # HR1400Z-85 like you mentioned.

If you wanted to go the roof rack option but you don't have a roof rack on your vehicle email me back with the year/make/model of your Lexus and I'll recommend you a roof rack for a cargo basket.
