Recommended Towing Components and Brake Controller for 1991 Ford F-150
Question:
I currently have a four pole adapter and want to install a Hopkins adapter 4-Pole to 7-Pole and 4-Pole Item # 37185 to use existing wiring and install a brake controller. I have a 1991 F150 with a regular steel bumper and plan on buying the Draw-Tite ultra #41904 and Tekonsha #39510. I would also like to make sure I am buying all the necessary parts for proper installation. Thank you.

For your 1991 Ford F-150 the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41904 is a confirmed fit. Then to use the Hopkins # 37185 you will also want the no drill adapter # 18136 and wiring kit # 5506.
Alternatively for the trailer connector and wiring, you can use the kit # ETBC7 which I think is a little nicer. You will still want the mounting bracket # 18136 for that install. Then you can use the Tekonsha Voyager # 39510 brake controller and I recommend the wiring harness # 20127 to give you that quick disconnect option as well. I've attached and installation video to assist.
