Recommended Suspension Enhancement to Reduce Sag on Toyota Tacoma with WD System Installed
Question:
Good morning, I have a 2010 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner with the factory towing package. Just recently purchased a travel trailer with a dry weight of 4400 lbs. I had the dealer install a Blue Ox weight distribution system as well. After some adjustments to the ball height and the chains, Ive gotten the truck/trailer about as level as it appears that it is going to get, but there is still just a little sag at the hitch. less than 1 inch. Im wondering if the Timbren Rear Suspension Enhcancement System would be the final measure to take care of this sag? Or should I be looking at another product? Please advise when convenient. Thanks

A weight distribution system is the best method for reducing rear sag when hooked up to a trailer, but there are definitely cases where some additional suspension enhancement is needed to get completely level.
The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TTORTUN4 that you referenced is a great solution and will work well on your 2010 Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner. These 6,000 pound jounce-style springs will sit above the rear axle to provide additional support and reduce that sag you are still getting from the tongue weight of your trailer.
Just note that after installing the Timbrens you will probably need to go through the setup/adjustment process again on your Blue Ox Weight Distribution System since you shouldn't need quite as much tension anymore.
I have attached an installation video on the Timbren System that you can also check out.
