Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Only Shows a Few Volts When Tested with Brake Pedal
Question:
I only get 3-4 volts on the plug in bed and bumper when brake pedal depressed using the manual lever on controller I get 12 volts any ideas

If you have a proportional brake controller you won't get full voltage when using the brake pedal and testing the pin since the controller needs to see sense deceleration before really applying voltage. If you have a proportional brake controller like it sounds like you do this would be what's going on. A lot of proportional controllers will put out a very small voltage spike when they sense that the pedal is applied which explains why you saw a small amount.
